Anime is either a television or film animation style typically found in Japan. The anime style has distinct characteristics that is different from the typical "Westernized" style of animation. This includes much more visual characteristics or exaggerated features and facial expressions for the characters, varying moods expressed through the characters, different coloring and penning techniques, thematic elements, and a wide range of genres, which can be targeted to a very specific audience.
